Hi,

Well, any of my objects (or Frogboy's) you are free to modify. With regard
to the Stardock weather images (which are by Mormegil) you don't really need
to mention permission for those we'd rather you use those than anyone elses
copyrighted images.

Regarding other people's work it's always worth asking for permission unless
the description explicitly says you can use them (like I think Mormegil's
new ones do)

It's always nice when you give credit in an object you have borrowed from.

There's no hard rule, but it's always a good idea to get permission.

Hope this helps,

Martin

Subject: Desktop X Permissions?

Hey, I was wondering how the permission works for the Desktop X objects?
In several; of the ones in your gallery, say that the object is a template
or what not. Like with the "DX Weather Template for DesktopX Objects
"....does that mean that anyone can use it to make their own Desktop X
object, as long as they give you the proper credit? That one also says that
the images are "Mormegil's associated graphics"...Do I need to also contact
Morgmegil for the permission??

SS Goku makes a lot of weather objects, and he say that the images are from
Stardock, with the permission included.....How do I go about getting that
permission....I did buy Object Desktop from Stardock, but I suspect that I
have to contact someone about the permission....

One more thing, sorry, but how do I know which objects I'm permitted to use
without a written permission, if any....as long as I give credit?

Thanks for your time, and I hope to hear from you soon....
